About collection

Inspiration for the collection

Designer Madara Rozentale created the collection “Arquus” which plays with gravity. She says ”Jewelry is similar to architectural elements made from many different porcelain pieces. Combined they create balance.”

Madara was inspired by 20th-century modernism and abstractionism, mainly by Catalan artist, architect, and sculptor Xavier Corbero. In his work, he uses arched architectural forms and skillfully plays with shadow and light.

“Arquus” collection's color scheme varies from cool to warm tones that complement each other and create a balanced overall image. Tones are created by experimenting with pigments and oxides that are applied on porcelain and fired at a high temperature of 1260°C.
