About collection
The expressive “Tache” collection shows unique color combinations with spontaneous splashes and drips of color, paired with our signature gold details.
Tachisme
Designer Madara Rozentāle was inspired by the French art movement Tachisme. The name comes from the French word 'tache', meaning a stain or splash.
Tachisme emerged in the mid-20th Century. It's spontaneous and non-geometric. In paintings, you'll often see bold brushstrokes, drips, and splatters of paint that show the artist's emotions. Some notable artists include Georges Mathieu, Jean-Paul Riopelle, and Pierre Soulages.
Experimentation
The process of making porcelain jewelry is a work of art in itself. It takes skill, creativity, precision, and time for a new collection to be made.
“Tache” color scheme varies from cool to warm tones, highlighting and complementing each other, creating a harmonious overall image.
Tones are created by experimenting with pigments and oxides applied on porcelain and kept at a high temperature of 1260°C. Each piece is painted with high-quality 24k gold, kept at 800°C temperature. Every Rozenthal Jewelry artwork is made using 14k gold or silver findings from the USA.
